Bolton forward Tom Eaves has extended his existing loan deal at Shrewsbury Town until the end of the season.

After a disappointing stint at Rotherham United, Eaves returned to Wanderers in November before heading to Shrewsbury shortly afterwards - a club where he scored six goals in 10 appearances in the 2012/13 campaign.

He scored on his Salop debut, but that remains his only strike in six appearances since his return.

Shrews boss Graham Turner doesn't believe he has seen the full potential of Eaves this season, but admitted he was delighted to have secured the services of the forward for the rest of the campaign.

"Tom Eaves loan has been extended until the end of the season and we are pleased about that," Turner told Shrewsbury's official club website.

"I don't think we've seen the best of Tom since he came back but he was short of game time and hadn't played much football until the games he played for us.

"We know he can score goals, we know he can contribute to our cause and we are glad to have him with us until the end of the season."
