O'Halloran Departs Bolton For St Johnstone

St Johnstone have completed the signing of Michael O'Halloran on a free transfer from Bolton Wanderers.

O'Halloran, a product of the Wanderers academy, made two senior appearances during his time at the Reebok Stadium but hadn't featured since a 2-0 victory over Macclesfield Town in an FA Cup third round replay in January 2012.

The 23-year-old had mixed success during loan spells at Sheffield United, Carlisle United and Tranmere Rovers over the last two years, but was released from his contract after failing to force his way into Dougie Freedman's first-team plans.

O'Halloran has signed an 18-month deal at McDiarmid Park and could make his debut when Tommy Wright takes his side to Ross County on Saturday afternoon.
