Neil Danns has been voted as Bolton's Man of the Match in Wanderers' 1-0 Boxing Day win at Barnsley.

Danns scored the only goal of the game at Oakwell, as he ended his three-month loan stint with the Trotters in style. The 31-year-old, who has since returned to Leicester City, narrowly managed to see off competition from Andy Lonergan to claim the award. Zat Knight, an unpopular selection before the game, ended the vote in third.

The award is Danns' third of the season, repeating the feat he achieved in games against Ipswich Town and Watford earlier in the campaign.
