Neil Danns admits he in unsure whether he has a future at Leicester City and would jump at a move to Bolton if the opportunity presented itself.

Danns returns to Leicester today, after his three-month loan deal at the Reebok Stadium came to an end on Boxing Day. The Foxes midfielder scored the only goal as Wanderers won 1-0 at Barnsley on Thursday, but could line-up against the Trotters when they make the trip to the King Power Stadium on Sunday.

Speaking to The Bolton News, prior to the win at Oakwell, Danns admitted he was 'in the dark' over his future. He hasn't ruled out the possibility of staying at Leicester, but says a permanent move to Bolton is something that interests him and his family.

"Football is a funny old game so I'd never say there is absolutely no chance (of staying at Leicester)," Danns said.

"I've seen it happen so many times in my career, where footballers appear to have one foot out of the door and then the next they are straight back in.

"I'm a professional footballer and I happen to be one who loves playing football.

"I'll give my all, no matter where I am. I can't affect certain things, so I have to go back and see what everyone is thinking.

"I'm old enough to know what will be, will be. I've got to go with the flow.

"Depending on what Leicester's thoughts are, if they want me to move on, then the first place I would want to be is Bolton Wanderers.

"The gaffer has not only been a good manager but I'd like to class him as a friend in football. He has been brilliant with me.

"If the opportunity came about to sign for Bolton then I'd take it with both hands.

"I've got a young family and they are enjoying me being around more, so it works out great. I'd jump at it.

"Nothing can be done until January anyway."
