Kevin Friend will referee Sunday's Championship fixture between Wigan Athletic and Bolton at the DW Stadium.

Wanderers go into the match on the back of a 3-0 victory over Doncaster Rovers, while the Latics face a difficult UEFA Europa League fixture at NK Maribor just three days prior to the Lancashire derby.

Friend, who will take charge of the game, has officiated 12 matches so far this season - issuing 39 yellow cards and one red.

His last outing was on November 23, when he was the man in the middle for Stoke City's 2-0 victory over Sunderland in the Premier League. The Leicestershire official produced three yellow cards in that game, as well as one red - to the Black Cats' Wes Brown, which was later overturned by The FA.

The last time Friend took charge of a Bolton fixture was in January, when Wanderers ran out 2-0 winners in an FA Cup third round replay against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. No cards are produced that night, although Friend did award the Trotters a 64th minute penalty - which was converted by Marvin Sordell.

Friend's last game in charge of Wigan was in August, when they were beaten 5-0 in a Capital One Cup tie at Manchester City. The visitors picked up the game's two yellow cards that evening.

Below is the full set of officials for Sunday's game between Wigan and Bolton:
