November has gone and the Christmas season is upon us. It's time to take a look at the progress of Bolton players out on loan at other clubs.

No fewer than seven Wanderers players are playing their football elsewhere, with Keith Andrews, Marvin Sordell, Tom Eaves, Gary Fraser, Cian Bolger, Conor Wilkinson and Chris Lester all seeking regular first-team action away from the Reebok Stadium.

Eaves represented two clubs throughout the month of November, but it was news a suspension for Fraser which hit the headlines.

The 19-year-old was sent off during an under-20 fixture for Partick Thistle in October, which saw him receive an automatic two-match ban. However, the incident was deemed to severe that a case had to go before a Scottish FA disciplinary panel - who added a further seven games to the suspension. He will now be unavailable to represent Thistle until their New Year's Day trip to Celtic.

In more positive news, Eaves scored on his second debut for Shrewsbury at the weekend - as they won 3-1 at Stevenage. The former Oldham Athletic forward had been with Salop's League One rivals Rotherham United, but was called back at the beginning of last week. That allowed him to link up for a second loan spell at Greenhous Meadow, where he scored six goals in ten appearances last season.

Another Wanderers loanee to find the target was Wilkinson, who netted on his debut for Chester on November 2nd. Just 48 hours after moving to the Diva Stadium, the former Millwall youngster scored the opening goal in a 1-1 draw with Aldershot. Wilkinson went on to make a further three appearances during the month, as well as combining the loan with development squad matches back at Bolton - for whom he scored a hat-trick in a 6-2 victory over Stoke City.

Also on loan at Chester is another Trotters youngster, Lester. The 19-year-old made six appearances for Neil Young's side, a run which included five starts.

One man who is struggling to make an impression elsewhere is Sordell. The former England under-21 international made four appearances for Charlton in November, all of which came as a substitute, totalling just 20 minutes of action. Sordell has scored just two goals for the Addicks - including one in the Capital One Cup - as he continues to struggle against the form of both Simon Church and Yann Kermorgant.

Injury restricted Andrews to just two appearances for Brighton, although he made his comback as a late substitute in a 1-1 draw at Bournemouth on Saturday. The Republic of Ireland international's only other outing came at the start of the month, when he played the full 90 minutes in a 3-1 win at Doncaster Rovers.

Our round-up for November ends with a look at Bolger, who added three appearances to his tally for Colchester. Having made his debut in a 1-0 win over Peterborough United in late October, the former Leicester City defender completed three more games for The U's - including one at Preston North End, where he came up against former Wanderers captain Kevin Davies.
