Bolton are to report Middlesbrough to The Football League over their ticket pricing strategy for an upcoming Championship fixture.

Wanderers head to the Riverside Stadium on November 30, 2013, with travelling supporters being charged £27 for a matchday ticket.

Home supporters will benefit from discounted prices, however, as Boro look to welcome some of their unhappy followers back to the club for Aitor Karanka's first home game in charge. Fans of the Teesside club will pay just £12 - £15 less than Trotters supporters.

Bolton officials made an approach to their Boro counterparts in an attempt to have the £12 promotion extended to away supporters but the move was rejected, meaning Wanderers fans will have to come up with the full asking price. The club will now make an official complaint to The Football League, as they look to raise their concerns over the pricing strategy.

As a response, Bolton have offered discounted coach travel to anybody wishing to make the journey to the North East. Wanderers supporters can now travel to the Riverside for £8.50, half of the original price.

Anybody who has already purchased coach travel through the club is eligible for a partial refund. Supporters are urged to call Bolton Central on 0844 871 2932 to make their claim.
