Bolton duo Conor Wilkinson and Chris Lester have joined Conference Premier side Chester FC on one-month loan deals.

Both players are highly rated at the Reebok Stadium and have stood out in an otherwise disappointing campaign for Jamie Fullarton's development squad so far this season.

Wilkinson joined Wanderers from Millwall in the summer and scored four goals in a 7-2 victory over Blackpool's second-string in the Lancashire FA Senior Cup last week. Lester, who recently earned his first call-up to the Northern Ireland under-21 squad, was also on target in that game, which helped set-up a quarter-final tie at Manchester United.

They will both be eligible to play in the FA Trophy in November, and Chester boss Neil Young admitted they are in contention to start against Aldershot on Saturday afternoon.

"We've been speaking to Bolton about having the lads come to Chester and am now delighted to finalise their loan signings," Young told Chester's official website.

"They will both go into the squad for Saturday's game against Aldershot and will be available for selection for the FA Trophy too, next month.

"Conor is a big striker who has certainly made an impact recently and comes to us in great form, so naturally we're delighted to have him here, whilst Chris is also a great addition for us, and will make our midfield stronger."
