Millwall boss Steve Lomas expects to have Liam Feeney back in his squad next week, unless Bolton come to terms on a permanent transfer.

Feeney is currently on loan at the Reebok Stadium, in what is technically a three-month loan deal, but the Lions inserted a clause into the contract that allows them to recall the player after 28 days - which is believed to be on October 25.

Lomas has activated that clause and expects to have the player available for next weekend's trip to Reading, unless Wanderers step up their attempts to sign the player in the meantime - although any deal can't officially go through until January.

Speaking to News Shopper, Lomas said: "We had an agreement set up before he went. There is a 28-day call back as well, so this will be his last game. Hopefully after that it will all become clearer.

"It isn't a case of me hoping he goes there because, at the end of the day, the reason we let Liam go out on loan was to get some games as he was getting frustrated.

"In the meantime we didn't expect James Henry to want to go to Wolves but once Kenny Jackett came in that was it, he was desperate to go.

"Where we are at with Liam Feeney is we will wait and see what Bolton have to say, but, as far as I'm concerned, at the minute he is coming back after the next game."
