On-loan Bolton winger Liam Feeney has refused to be drawn on his future, and where he will be playing at the turn of the year.

Feeney joined Wanderers on a three-month loan from Millwall in September and will stay at the Reebok Stadium up to and including the game against Leicester City on December 29th.

The 26-year-old has impressed in all three of his matches for the Trotters so far, being named Man of the Match in his last two outings, and supporters are already speculating about a potential permanent deal for a player whose contract at The Den expires at the end of the season.

Feeney, however, is remaining grounded and has set a personal target of keeping his place in Dougie Freedman's team. Speaking to The Bolton News, he said: "I am here for three months and beyond that I don't really know.

"It's not in my hands. I have a contract until the end of the season but I am not trying to focus too much on it. I just want to enjoy my football.

"(Millwall boss) Steve Lomas spoke to me quite a lot before I came out on loan. He saw the benefit of me coming out on loan go get games. I wasn't playing much so it's win-win all round.

"If I do well here hopefully the team will do well, I do well and if Millwall call me back, they will get a better player back for having played more games.

"We did speak a lot and he wished me all the best. I am sure he has been keeping an eye on me so we will have to see how it goes. Different managers have different methods and different opinions.

"Chances didn't come often for me at Millwall but Bolton gave me the chance to play again.

"I played against the manager's Palace side a few times and I have been around the lower leagues for a few years. He said he has known me for years and was pleased to finally work with me which is nice to hear.

"For me it's just good to be playing again."
