David Coote will referee Saturday's Championship fixture between Birmingham City and Bolton at St Andrew's.
Wanderers travel to the Midlands at the weekend, looking to build on their goalless draw at Blackpool on Tuesday night. Coote, who will take charge of the game, has officiated eight matches so far this season - issuing 23 yellow cards and one red.
His last outing was on Tuesday night, as he was the man in the middle for Leeds United's 2-1 victory over Bournemouth at Elland Road. The Nottinghamshire official produced four yellow cards in that game, as well as a straight red card to Bournemouth goalkeeper Ryan Allsop.
Coote has never previously refereed a Bolton fixture, although he did take charge of Birmingham's 1-0 win at Middlesbrough in March. Blues players Ravel Morrison and Nikola Zigic were booked in that match at the Riverside Stadium.
