Bolton have completed the loan signings of Cardiff City defender Kevin McNaughton and Millwall midfielder Liam Feeney.

News broke on Thursday evening that Wanderers were set to conclude deals for the duo, and both moves were confirmed by the club on Friday morning.

First of all, Feeney will spend the next three months at the Reebok Stadium. The 26-year-old winger, who has played 69 times for Millwall, will provide competition for the likes of Chris Eagles, Robert Hall and out-of-form Lee Chung-Yong during his time with the Trotters. He has been allocated the number 26 shirt and goes into the squad for Saturday's home game against Yeovil Town.

Meanwhile, Wanderers have also completed the signing of Cardiff defender McNaughton. Capped four times by Scotland, the 31-year-old primarily plays as a right-back but can feature in any position across the back four.

McNaughton is the longest serving member of the Bluebirds squad, having joined on a free transfer from Aberdeen in 2006, and signed a new 12-month contract in the summer. But after featuring in just two Capital One Cup ties so far this season, City boss Malky Mackay has granted the player permission to link up with Bolton on an emergency 28-day deal.

In other Cardiff transfer news, Wanderers boss Dougie Freedman has been knocked back in his attempts to sign forward Joe Mason and defender Mark Hudson.

Hudson, who is first-team captain at the Cardiff City Stadium, is working his way back to full fitness after undergoing ankle surgery in the spring and remains a key figure at the club. The Bluebirds have told Wanderers he will not be allowed to leave the club on loan, while any move for Mason may have to wait until later in the window.
