The first month of the season has come to a close, so it's time to check in on the progress of the Bolton players out on loan.

Marvin Sordell, Keith Andrews and Gary Fraser will spend the season at Charlton Athletic, Brighton & Hove Albion and Partick Thistle, respectively, and all three have found themselves in and out of first-team action in the opening weeks of the new campaign.

Since joining Charlton on August 1, Sordell has featured in four games for the Addicks. He made his debut in a 2-1 defeat at newly-promoted Bournemouth on August 3, but has made just one league appearance since then - in a 1-0 defeat at home to Middlesbrough the following weekend. He was an unused substitute in Saturday's 2-1 win over Leicester City.

In addition to his two league outings, Sordell has also featured in both rounds of the Capital One Cup. He was a late substitute in a 4-0 win over Oxford United in round one, and played the full 90 minutes in the following round at Huddersfield Town. The former England under-21 international scored his first Charlton goal at the John Smith's Stadium, but couldn't prevent his side from going out of the competition - losing 3-2.

After featuring in Bolton's opening day draw at Burnley, Andrews made a temporary switch to Brighton on August 10 and made his Seagulls debut later that same day - playing the final 19 minutes in a 2-1 defeat at home to Derby County.

The Republic of Ireland international played the full game in a 1-0 win at Birmingham City the following weekend, before a hamstring injury kept him out of Brighton's 2-0 victory over Burnley on August 24. He returned to the side on Saturday, coming on for the final 18 minutes as Oscar Garcia's side drew 1-1 with Millwall.

Up in Scotland, Fraser has made four appearances for Premiership outfit Partick Thistle. Having impressed on his debut - in a goalless draw with Dundee United on August 2 - the 20-year-old completed the entire 90 minutes in each of their next two games. He was substituted shortly after half-time in Thistle's 1-0 defeat at Motherwell last weekend, with a slight injury causing him to miss the club's last two games.
