Nat Lofthouse has been named on a five-man shortlist in a poll to find The Football League's greatest ever captain.

In recent weeks, Prostate Cancer UK, the official charity partner of The Football League, launched a campaign to get supporters voting for their club's greatest ever skipper. With the nominations counted, Lofthouse has made the final five and is in contention to win the award.

The Wanderers icon, who recently had a statue unveiled in his honour at the Reebok Stadium, is up against Mick Mills (Ipswich Town), Billy Bremner (Leeds United), Paul Robinson (Millwall) and Archie Gibson (Scunthorpe United).

You can cast your vote for Lofthouse by heading over to prostatecanceruk.org and making your selection. Voting closes on Tuesday 3rd September 2013.
