Bolton are expected to confirm their new club sponsor on Wednesday, payday loan company QuickQuid.
Wanderers originally planned an announcement last Friday but were forced to put it on hold as they waited for the results of an inquest into the death of Anthony Breeze, a 36-year-old father from the town who committed suicide last August.
Mr Breeze is said to have owed £1,600 to a number of loan companies, but the inquest revealed QuickQuid was not one of those involved and there was no evidence of threats being made to him by debt collectors.
With their name in the clear, QuickQuid will be officially named as Bolton's new sponsor in a two-year deal said to be worth around £500,000. They will take over from online gambling company 188BET, who have sponsored the club since 2009.
