Bolton were denied a place in the play-offs by Leicester City's superior goal difference, as they ended the season in 7th-place.

Wanderers came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Blackpool on the final day of the Championship season but a late Anthony Knockaert goal handed the final place to the Foxes, who sealed a 3-2 win away at Nottingham Forest.

Crystal Palace ended the campaign in 5th after they beat Peterborough United 3-2 at Selhurst Park. That result means Darren Ferguson's side will be playing League One football next season, along with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Bristol City.

Hull City will join Cardiff City in the Premier League next season, after they earned promotion with a 2-2 draw against the Bluebirds at the KC Stadium. A draw meant Watford could have ended the season as runners-up, but they fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Leeds United.
