Tom Eaves was on the scoresheet on Tuesday night, as Shrewsbury Town lost 2-1 at home to Doncaster Rovers.

Eaves - who joined the Shrews on loan last week - was making his second appearance for the club and he thought he had earned his new side a point when his 90th minute strike brought the scores level.

The 21-year-old picked up possession 25 yards from goal, before firing a shot towards the Doncaster goal. There appeared to be little to trouble Gary Woods, but he somehow let the shot squirm out of his grasp and into the net.

However, Woods' blushes were spared, as a deflected strike from Kyle Bennett handed Rovers all three points deep into stoppage time.

Elsewhere, Michael O'Halloran played the full 90 minutes as Tranmere Rovers were held to a 1-1 draw by Notts County at Prenton Park.

Abdulai Bell-Baggie put Rovers ahead just before the half-hour, but Neal Bishop earned the visitors a point with an equaliser 16 minutes from time.
