Michael O'Halloran will stay at Tranmere Rovers for another month, after his loan deal was extended.

The Bolton forward moved to Prenton Park in November and has made nine appearances for Ronnie Moore's side, scoring once.

Speaking about the new deal, the Rovers boss admitted he was pleased to keep hold of the 22-year-old.

"Michael has done well since he has been here so I'm pleased to be able to keep him for another month.

"With Jake Cassidy going back to Wolves and Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro not yet back from injury, we're short of options up front so Michael being allowed to stay is good news for us.

"I'd like to thank Dougie Freedman for letting Michael stay with us."
