Tom Eaves has returned to Bolton, after his loan spell at Bristol Rovers came to an end on Saturday night.

With Rovers having two matches postponed last week, Eaves took the time to return to Wanderers' Euxton training base to meet manager Dougie Freedman for the first time.

The 20-year-old has been linked with a January loan to a League One club, as Bolton look to step-up his development. However, the former Oldham Athletic forward admits he is unsure as to what the future holds at this moment in time.

"I don't know what the future holds for me at the moment," Eaves told the Bristol Evening Post. "I'll go back to Bolton and see what happens after that.

"I was back there for a few days last week to meet the new manager and his staff because they haven't seen that much of me.

"It is a whole new set-up so it was good to go back and get a feel for the place again."

Eaves played 17 times during his time at the Memorial Ground and scored seven goals.
