Gregg Wylde's produced an impressive display on Friday night, in what could prove to be the final game of his loan spell at Gigg Lane.

The former Glasgow Rangers midfielder was a constant threat in the Bury midfield, as they drew 2-2 with Shrewsbury Town on Friday night.

He came close to scoring his first goal in English football with a deflected strike that hit the post just after the break, but he was to leave a lasting impression as his corner allowed Steven Schumacher to score in the final minute and earn the Shakers a point.

Wylde is set to return to the Reebok Stadium following the expiry of his loan deal, but he has stated that he is keen to stay at Gigg Lane and continue playing regular first-team football.

Also on Friday night, Michael O'Halloran completed the full 90 minutes as Tranmere Rovers suffered a shock 5-0 defeat at Swindon Town.

Four goals inside the opening 33 minutes put Paulo Di Canio's side in cruise control, before an Andy Williams strike six minutes after the break completed a miserable evening for Rovers.

Meanwhile, Tom Eaves was set to feature for Bristol Rovers on Saturday. However, just like many games up and down the country, their game against Rotherham United was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
