Huddersfield Town winger Danny Ward, once of Bolton, admits it will be good to line up against some familiar faces on Saturday afternoon.

Ward joined the Terriers for a fee of around £1million in the summer of 2011, following an impressive loan spell at the John Smith's Stadium.

The former Wanderers player, who turns 22 on Sunday, has recalled the day he made his Premier League debut and believes the club have what it takes to mount a promotion challenge in the second half of the campaign.

"It will be good to play against them and nice to see a few faces that I haven't seen for a while," Ward told Huddersfield's official club website.

"I made my debut when I was 18 and a few of the lads that I played with that day are in the squad now.

"I remember us getting beat badly. I came on with about ten minutes to go when we were playing against Sunderland at home. We were losing when I came on and we were basically playing long ball football, trying to nick a few goals.

"I didn't really get many touches of the ball, but it was a great experience to be a part of a Premier League game.

"I thought they would have done a bit better (this season). They have got the players within their squad to get them back up into the Premier League; I won't be surprised when they put together a run of results and are near the top challenging."
