Adam Bogdan has signed a new contract at Bolton, which will keep him at the Reebok Stadium until the summer of 2015.

After a shaky start to the season, Bogdan has impressed since the arrival of Dougie Freedman and has done enough to earn a 12-month extension to his current deal.

The 25-year-old currently stands behind Kevin Davies as the club's longest serving player, having signed for Wanderers in August 2007.

Since claiming the goalkeeping position from Jussi Jaaskelainen in January of this year, Bogdan has now made a total of 56 appearances for Bolton, including 19 this season.

Speaking about his decision to extend his stay at the club, the Hungary international admitted his ambition to return to the Premier League was a major factor in his decision to sign.

"I'm delighted with the extension," Bogdan told the club's official website. "I think it's always a good feeling when the club wants to extend.

"I hope it's a good message for everyone and proves that I see my future here and that I am enjoying playing for the manager.

"I want to get back to the Premier League as quickly as possible and I see this as a big step."
