Nigel Reo-Coker will not face his old club when Ipswich Town travel to Bolton next weekend, after he picked up a hamstring injury.

Reo-Coker suffered the injury in the second half of Town's 1-1 draw with Peterborough United on Saturday afternoon and is expected to miss at least a fortnight of playing action.

The 28-year-old sparked controversy by leaving the Reebok Stadium at the end of last season, opting to activate a release clause in his contract following the club's relegation from the Premier League.

After failing to find a new club in the top flight, he moved to Portman Road in October on a short-term deal which runs until January 2013. He has made seven appearances for Mick McCarthy's side, who currently sit inside the Championship's relegation zone.
