Police Investigating Racism Allegation at Bolton Game

Police are investigating an allegation of racism after comments directed towards the Cardiff City dugout during Saturday's game at Bolton.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said they had been made aware of a 'racist remark' from a Wanderers supporter and they will be working with the Trotters to identify the offender.

"Following the football game at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton, between Cardiff City and Bolton Wanderers, Greater Manchester Police were informed of allegations that a racist remark made by a Bolton Wanderers fan," a spokesman told WalesOnline.

"Police are currently working closely with Bolton Wanderers Football Club on an investigation to establish the circumstances and identify the offender, has been launched."

The allegations arrive less than a month after a similar investigation was launched after Bolton's defeat at Millwall, during which Wanderers striker Marvin Sordell is alleged to have been subjected to racial abuse.
