Lee Chung-Yong admits he is feeling 'very good' after showing signs of his previous self in Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Middlesbrough.

The South Korea international was recalled to the starting line-up for the first time in a month at the Riverside Stadium and marked the return with his first goal since April 2011.

Having spent the majority of last season on the sidelines with a broken leg, Chung-Yong admitted he was delighted to open his goalscoring account for the campaign, but, ultimately, left the Riverside disappointed that the Trotters fell to defeat.

"My stats showed I played a good game and I feel very good," Chung-Yong told the club's official website. "I want to make a goal in every game from now on.

"It's been a long time since I played until full-time, so I enjoyed it, but do feel very tired.

"It was long time since I scored last. 18 months is very long time, so that makes me very happy. Everyone ran to me and that was a special feeling.

"I should have scored a goal for the team with my second chance, so that makes me feel disappointed. I would have been more happy if we had won, but we lost.

"We played not bad because they didn't have many chances. When the game was 1-0, we needed more passes and try to keep the ball more.

"I thought I should have had a penalty in the second half, but that time has now gone."
