Bolton forward Benik Afobe believes the club still have the quality and time required to push for promotion back to the Premier League this season.
Wanderers dropped out of the top flight in May for the first time since 2001 and they have made a poor start to the new campaign, picking up just 11 points from their opening 10 games.
That bad start led to Owen Coyle being sacked as manager last Tuesday, but the on-loan Arsenal youngster remains confident in the club's ability to bounce back at the first time of asking.
"I've been watching Bolton for many years, as a youngster, in the Premier League and they've got a fantastic squad here, with more than half of the side kept on from last season," Afobe told Sky Sports.
"You could say that all the players here are Premier League players in terms of quality and now it's just a case of turning that into performances every week.
"The aim is to bounce straight back into the Premier League and hopefully I can help to make that happen this season.
"We can't change what has gone in the past, but it is up to us now to change the club's fortunes around, starting with the next game against Bristol City."
