Swindon Town manager Paolo Di Canio admits he is flattered to be linked with other clubs, but says he has a job to do at the County Ground.

Di Canio has been linked with a potential move to Bolton, who are in the hunt for a new manager following Owen Coyle's dismissal on Tuesday morning.

The 43-year-old guided Swindon to the League Two title in his first season in charge and the Robins currently sit in fourth position in League One, with Di Canio having won 45 of his 73 games in charge of the club.

The former Sheffield Wednesday and West Ham United player admits he is happy to see his name linked with higher profile jobs, but he isn't thinking about a move away from Swindon at this moment in time.

"It's better than not reading your name," Di Canio told BBC Wiltshire.

"We can joke about it but it doesn't change that I am working for Swindon, so there's no need to think about it. It means people think I have already done a good job.

"They look at the statistics and think 'there is Di Canio, who has won nine games from 15 already'. Including last year, I've had more than 61% victories.

"It means they are looking at the people who have got good results at lower levels and that is something you appreciate.

"But it's not the club, but the people that bet money who put you in second or third (favourite). Before I signed for Swindon I was linked to West Ham and yet nobody contacted me."
