Marvin Sordell has claimed he and other Bolton Wanderers players were subject to racist abuse during Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Millwall.

Posting on his official Twitter page, after the game, Sordell claimed he, Lee Chung-Yong, Darren Pratley and Benik Afobe were all subjected to abuse from home supporters.

"Putting the match aside, it's 2012 in England and people are still shouting racial abuse at a football game!?," Sordell posted on Twitter.

"Chungy, Pratts, Benik and I had all sorts of things said to us. The police were standing yards away and did nothing."

Sordell later claimed he was called a 'slave c**t', which has since prompted further abuse to the England Under-21 international on social media.

Bolton Wanderers have confirmed that Sordell has made them aware of the complaint and the club have reported the issue to Millwall Football Club, the police and match officials.
