Fred Barber has been appointed as full-time goalkeeping coach at League One strugglers Bury.
Barber had previously spent 16 years at Bolton, where he played a key role in helping the likes of Jussi Jaaskelainen and Adam Bogdan become established names in the top-flight of English football.
He left the Reebok Stadium in the summer, with Wanderers boss Owen Coyle opting to name Phil Hughes as the club's goalkeeping coach on an individual basis.
The 49-year-old moved to Gigg Lane last month, during Peter Shirtliff's time as caretaker manager, and has now taken up a permanent role at the club following the arrival of new Shakers boss Kevin Blackwell.
