Jay Spearing has been voted as Man of the Match from Bolton's 3-1 defeat at Hull City on Saturday.

Spearing joined Wanderers on a season-long loan from Liverpool on Friday and made his Trotters debut just over 24 hours later at the KC Stadium.

The 23-year-old was unable to prevent his new club from slipping to defeat against Steve Bruce's side, but he received the majority vote, with Adam Bogdan, Chris Eagles and Sam Ricketts all tied in second.
