Dedryck Boyata has joined Dutch side FC Twente on a season-long loan from Premier League champions Manchester City.
Boyata spent the 2011/12 season on loan at Bolton and made 17 appearances for the Trotters, but failed to impress during his time at the Reebok Stadium.
Having returned to the Etihad Stadium in the summer, Boyata has been deemed surplus to requirements by City boss Roberto Mancini and the Belgium Under-21 international will spent the season in the Netherlands.
FC Twente are currently managed by former England and Middlesbrough boss Steve McClaren and they sit on top of the Eredivisie, having won their opening three games of the new campaign.
