Tony Kelly has vowed to take inspiration from Fabrice Muamba after suffering a heart attack.

Kelly was taken ill earlier this week and is now said to be recovering well.

The 47-year-old, who holds the roles of Assistant Youth Team Coach and Fans Liaison Officer at Bolton Wanderers, took to Twitter on Wednesday evening to thank fans for their messages of support.

Zico, as he is affectionately known by Wanderers supporters, posted the following comments on the social networking website.

"Big thank you to everyone for your kind words of support. I'll get through this with your love, God bless you all. Don't Stop Believing xxx.

"For everyone asking, I've had a heart attack and I'll be fine. I get my inspiration from Fabrice Muamba and I'll be back fitter and stronger. God bless."
