Bolton have completed the signing of Arsenal forward Benik Afobe on a season-long loan deal.

The 19-year-old has been with the Gunners since 2001 and recently travelled with Arsene Wenger's senior squad for their pre-season tour of Asia.

Following Arsenal's return to England, Wanderers boss Owen Coyle stepped up his persuit of the former Huddersfield Town and Reading loanee and believes the youngster has plenty to prove during his time at the Reebok Stadium.

"Benik is a very exciting addition to our squad for this season and once again we would like to thank Arsenal and Arsene Wenger for agreeing to the loan," Coyle told the club's official website.

"He is only 19-years-old and you can see already that he is going to be a very good player.

"He has an eye for goal, is an athletic striker and there is much more to come from him."

By completing the move to the Trotters, Afobe becomes the third Arsenal player in as many seasons to complete a switch to the Reebok, following in the footsteps of Jack Wilshere and Ryo Miyaichi.
