Jussi Jaaskelainen has agreed terms on a 12-month contract at West Ham United.
As reported by Burnden Aces on June 1, Jaaskelainen will sign a one-year deal at the Boleyn Ground, with the option of a second season.
The 37-year-old joined Bolton from VPS Vaasa in 1997 and has gone on to make 527 appearances for the club, putting him fifth in the all time list.
His last appearance for Wanderers came on New Year's Eve in a 1-1 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers, after which he lost his place to Adam Bogdan.
After failing to regain his previously unchallenged position in goal, the former Finland international will join West Ham when his contract expires at the end of the month.
Speaking about the move, Jaaskelainen has paid thanks to the Bolton manager, chairman and supporters for his 15 years at the Reebok Stadium.
"I'm delighted to be joining West Ham United," Jaaskelainen told West Ham's official club website.
"After spending 15 years in Bolton it's a great new challenge and I'm really looking forward to it.
"Everything has happened really quickly. When the opportunity was offered to come to West Ham I didn't think twice and I just told my agent to sort it out as quickly as possible.
"I appreciate Bolton giving me permission to speak to West Ham before my contract was up and for the efforts the Chairman made in trying to get me to stay.
"I would like to thank the fans for all their support over the years and I wish the players and, in particular, Owen Coyle all the best in gaining promotion at the first attempt."
