Fred Barber's 16-year association with Bolton Wanderers will come to an end when his contract expires at the end of the month.

Barber has been a key figure in the development of Jussi Jaaskelainen and Adam Bogdan during his time at the Reebok Stadium, but with Phil Hughes taking over the role of goalkeeping coach following Owen Coyle's arrival at the club in January 2010, Barber's time has always looked like coming to an end.

It is understood that the 48-year-old has yet to agree terms on a deal elsewhere, but he will leave the club once agreeing a compensation package.
