Tim Ream believes Bolton have enough quality to mount a promotion challenge next season and bounce straight back to the Premier League.

Wanderers' 11-year stay in the top flight came to an end on Sunday as they were held to a 2-2 draw at Stoke City and with a number of high profile exits waiting to be confirmed, Ream has indicated he will stay at the Reebok Stadium and help the club get back to where it belongs.

"Relegation is a tough pill to swallow and we didn't help ourselves out with some of the results down the final stretch," Ream told the club's official website.

"We have to pick ourselves up and get out of the Championship at the first attempt. We have to come back after the summer ready to go and make sure that we are towards the top of the league from the beginning on day one.

"We should hopefully get the key guys back in Stuey (Holden) and Chungy (Lee). If we can match that with some good results early doors then that should set us up for a positive season.

"Personally, I'll take a little bit of time off this summer and finally go on my honeymoon, but then it will be straight back to work.

"Once I'm back I'll start thinking about football again and get myself ready for my first full season with the club when we want to hit the ground running.

"It's been a testing start to life in England but I'm looking forward to returning after the summer and getting on with the task at hand, which is getting Bolton Wanderers back in the Premier League."
