Fabrice Muamba will be in attendance when Bolton play host to Tottenham Hotspur at the Reebok Stadium on Wednesday night.
Muamba has not been seen in public since collapsing as a result of a cardiac arrest during an FA Cup tie between the two clubs in March.
The 24-year-old was discharged from hospital two weeks ago and has made sufficient recovery to attend the game.
Speaking about the news of Muamba's return to the Reebok, Bolton boss Owen Coyle believes it gives the player the opportunity to say thank you to all those who cared during his time in need.
"We are absolutely delighted that we will be able to welcome Fabrice and his family back to the Reebok, and we are all looking forward to seeing him," Coyle told the club's official website.
"It's fitting that the match is between these two clubs and that Fabrice is able to come along.
"I know Fabrice is very keen to show his appreciation to both sets of fans for their support."
