Owen Coyle believes Bolton supporters are yet to see the best of David Ngog, who he admits will only continue to improve.

Ngog joined Wanderers in a £4million move from Liverpool last summer and has been a regular in the team since the turn of the year.

The 23-year-old scored the winning goal at Aston Villa on Tuesday night and Coyle believes the player will take confidence from his strike and continue to prove his doubters wrong.

"I've been really pleased with David even though he's had a few things to contend with," Coyle said.

"When he hit a bit of form earlier in the season he got injured but played through it, then he spent a bit of time getting himself right again.

"He's a young player and he'll continue to get better. He's got power, pace and he's got goals in him, no doubt about that.

"He'll draw some confidence from his goal the other night but as I have said before, players know what we ask them to bring to the team and if you play with the one striker up the park then David sacrifices a lot of himself for the good of the team and that's what we need."
