Owen Coyle has set his sights on being named Manager of the Month for April, after collecting the award for the month of March.

The Bolton boss was announced as the winner of the gong on Wednesday afternoon after leading Wanderers to three consecutive league victories for the first time since December 2006.

It is the second time Coyle has won the accolade, having previously landed the honour in November 2010.

Coyle has thanked the club for their part in landing him the award and he has set his sights on repeating his success again in the month to come.

"I am delighted to receive the award on behalf of everyone at the football club," Coyle said.

"As much as it is called the 'Manager of the Month' it is very much a collective effort and reflects how hard everybody has worked, particularly to win the last three games.

"We have moved in the right direction and we have to keep it going in the remaining weeks of the season.

"One thing that we would like to do is win the award again for April because it would mean that we are continuing the progress at the football club.

"We have given ourselves a platform and now have an opportunity to go and win the matches and points that will see us remain in the Barclays Premier League."
