Adam Bogdan has played down personal plaudits for his performance against Tottenham Hotspur and admits he is disappointed Bolton are out of the FA Cup.

Bogdan produced save after save to deny Spurs, before finally being beaten 14 minutes from time courtest of a Ryan Nelsen header.

Gareth Bale added a second soon after and Louis Saha sealed Wanderers' fate with the final kick of the game, after Kevin Davies had pulled one back moments earlier.

The Trotters goalkeeper earned rave reviews for his performance at White Hart Lane, but he couldn't hide his disappointment at missing out on a date with Chelsea in a Wembley semi-final.

"First of all I am very disappointed to be out of the cup because we wanted the chance to play at Wembley again," Bogdan told the club's official website.

"I had a couple of saves to make and we managed to keep it at zero-zero. Unfortunately the pressure was growing and we couldn't cope with that, but it was pleasing that we managed to stay in the game for that long.

"It was nice that the Tottenham players were congratulating me on my performance, but I suppose it's easier for them to do that now they have gone through.

"It was a difficult evening because it was a Tuesday night game after a hard match on Saturday. Also, there's what happened to Fabrice, although I was extra-motivated to come here and play well for him.

"I'm disappointed to be out of the cup but the situation is that now our only focus is the Premier League. We are in a hard position but if we can show this fighting spirit as we have in the last couple of game, we can make it.

"My dream has been to play in the Premier League and at the moment I'm able to do that.

"My only job is to keep that going, play as well as I can and help the team."
