Bolton owner Eddie Davies has hailed Fabrice Muamba's current condition as a 'miracle' as he continues to fight for his life in hospital.

Muamba collapsed to the ground during Wanderers' FA Cup sixth round tie at Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening and was admitted to the London Chest Hospital, where his heart began to beat again - some two hours later.

The 23-year-old's condition appears to be improving on a daily basis, but he remains in a critical condition.

Davies has revealed he plans to visit the player on Wednesday and admits he was left stunned by events at White Hart Lane.

"I was watching on TV at home," Davie said. "It was a surreal event and I was really stunned by what happened.

"He's been with us for three years. He is a very intelligent young guy with an unbelievable history of how he got where he is. He is a true ambassador for the sport.

"He was offline for an hour and back within 24. It is absolutely incredible, if not a miracle, and I want to thank everyone who has helped.

"The messages of support we have received have been unbelievable."
