Bolton have completed the signing of Gregg Wylde on a free transfer, subject to clearance from FIFA.

Wylde left Glasgow Rangers last week after deciding to take voluntary redundancy from the financially stricken club, who went into administration last month.

Writing on his official Twitter page (@GreggWylde27), the 20-year-old confirmed he had signed for the Trotters, with his deal running until the summer of 2015.

"(I'm) delighted and proud to have signed for Bolton," Wylde said.

"(It's) been a tough few weeks and I'll always be thankful to Rangers, but (I'm) excited for a new challenge."

Wanderers boss Owen Coyle was delighted to capture the Scotland under-21 international and insists he cannot wait to begin working with the winger.

"To capture a player of Gregg Wylde's talent is a fantastic bit of business for the football club, especially given the interest that was shown in him by a number of other Premier League teams," Coyle told the club's official website.

"He is young, quick and exciting, and has played at a very high level with Glasgow Rangers, both domestically and in Europe.

"Gregg is a creator and scorer of goals. We are thrilled to have him on board and everyone is looking forward to working with him."
