Bolton boss Owen Coyle has confirmed the club has been made aware of interest in out-of-favour defender Paul Robinson.

Aside from two appearances in the FA Cup, Robinson has not featured for Wanderers since the Boxing Day defeat to Newcastle United.

Championship sides Burnley, Leeds United and Southampton have been credited with an interest in the 33-year-old, who is out of contract at the Reebok Stadium this summer, and while Coyle admits he is aware of potential suitors, the player has expressed his desire to fight for his place at Bolton.

"There has been interest from a couple of clubs and I have made Paul aware of that," Coyle said.

"But he is happy to battle away here for his place and that is where we are."

Robinson has made 87 appearances since joining Bolton from West Bromwich Albion in 2009, but has recently fallen behind Sam Ricketts and Marcos Alonso in the pecking order.
