Ryo Miyaichi is ready to make an impact on the Bolton first team, according to Wanderers boss Owen Coyle.

Miyaichi moved to the Reebok Stadium on transfer deadline day on a loan deal from Arsenal that will run until the end of the season.

He failed to make the Bolton squad that lost at Norwich City at the weekend, but after a behind-closed-doors friendly against Preston North End on Tuesday afternoon, Coyle believes the Japan under-19 international is ready for Premier League duty.

"We played a game the other day for the lads who needed a bit of match sharpness," Coyle told the club's official website. "Ryo was one of those involved.

"He is an exciting young player and I believe he has got a fantastic career ahead of him. He did wonderfully well on loan at Feyenoord last year and he comes here with a chance to play his part at Bolton Wanderers.

"I feel our staff can help him develop, so for me it's a win-win-win situation.

"He's young, exciting, quick and the type of winger I love watching. He's getting better with the language, not that he'll ever be able to understand my accent, and as he gets more and more familiar with the squad we'll take things forward from there."

Coyle also confirmed Ryo's fellow January signings, Tim Ream and Marvin Sordell, are in contention to face Wigan Athletic on Saturday.

"The three new lads will certainly be in the squad," Coyle said.

"Everything was sorted with Tim's passport and work permit on Monday so he is in contention, and Ryo and Marvin have had a week to train with the rest of the lads.

"It's not always easy if you're a young player trying to integrate into new surroundings, but the lads have taken to them well."
