Bolton Not Chasing Bangoura Deal

Bolton boss Owen Coyle has revealed rumours over a move for Ismael Bangoura are wide of the mark.

Reports last week suggested Wanderers were set to make an offer for the Guinea international, with his club, Al Nasr SC, confirming they were open to the possibility of sending the forward out on loan.

Coyle has admitted he was interested in signing the player last summer, but he will not be pursuing a move on transfer deadline day.

"There was an interest in August in Ismael Bangoura, who was playing in Dubai at the time, but nothing came of it," Coyle told The Bolton News.

"Maybe that's where it has come from, some old quotes being regurgitated. There won't be anything pursued on that front."
