Bolton have agreed a fee in the region of £3million for Watford striker Marvin Sordell.

Sordell was due to feature for Watford in their Championship game at Millwall on Tuesday evening, only to be pulled out of the squad by Hornets owner Laurence Bassini earlier in the day.

Reports began to surface linking the 20-year-old with a move to Cardiff City or Fulham, but Wanderers appear to have stolen a march on their rivals and look set to complete a deal after agreeing a fee for the player.

The England under-21 international has scored 10 goals in 29 appearances for Watford this season and would be ineligible to play in the FA Cup after representing Sean Dyche's side earlier in the competition.
