After scoring against Liverpool on Saturday, Mark Davies is hoping to become a more regular goalscorer for Bolton Wanderers.
Davies' strike against the Reds was his second goal of the season but only his fifth in 87 appearances for the club since his move from Wolverhampton Wanderers in January 2009.
The 23-year-old is currently experiencing his best run of form since moving to the Reebok Stadium and he believes Saturday's strike could prove to be the first of many.
"It was a great win for the lads on Saturday and it was a real team performance," Davies told the club's official website. "We had been long overdue a win like that at home.
"I was happy to get the goal and I think that helped set us up for the win. Getting the first goal against a team like Liverpool is always important if you are to take the three points, and fortunately I managed to score it.
"To be honest, even though I'm right footed I seem to score most of my goals with my left foot. It was the same story at Blackburn a few weeks ago too, it's strange how that happens.
"I'm starting to feel really sharp, and I think that is because I'm getting a regular run of games in the team. I've enjoyed playing through the middle too and that has meant I have been able to get in these good positions.
"If I can score a few more goals between now and the end of the season then I'm sure we will move up and away from the bottom of the table. It's important that every player does their bit."
