Lee Chung-Yong will be out of action for a minimum of nine months after breaking his leg against Newport County.

The 23-year-old was stretchered off the field after 30 minutes of Bolton's 3-1 victory at the Newport Stadium, with scans later revealing the South Korea international had broken his right leg in two places.

Speaking about the injury, Troters boss Owen Coyle admitted the player will receive all the help and support he needs in order to bounce back for the start of the 2012/13 campaign.

"We will make sure Chung-Yong gets all the support he needs, as now it is all about his recovery and well-being," Coyle told the club's official website. "That is the most important thing.

"The operation went well and we would like to pass on our thanks to the medical staff involved."
