Temitope Obadeyi has vowed to make an impact on the first team after signing a new contract at Bolton.

Obadeyi has signed a 12-month extension to his current deal, which was due to expire next summer, and will now stay at the club until the summer of 2013.

Speaking about the new deal, the 21-year-old admits he hopes to force his way into manager Owen Coyle's plans ahead of the new campaign.

"I'm happy to have signed for another year," Obadeyi told the club's official website.

"I felt like I was playing well for the reserves towards the end of last season and now I've got to kick on.

"I've been here since I was 16 and now hopefully I can force my way into the manager's plans because he's shown faith in me by offering me another year.

"My aim is to perform well in pre-season and see where that takes me. I'm aiming to be in that first-team squad.

"Any chance I get to play, I've got to make sure I take it. I'm a striker or a left-winger and, if I get one-on-one with a player, I like to think I can get at him."
