Reports on Friday indicate Wigan Athletic have made a bid in the region of £3million for Bolton goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi.
Al Habsi spent last season on loan at the DW Stadium and played an integral part in helping the Latics retain their Premier League status.
Wigan are thought to have already been rebuffed in their attempts to sign the Oman international, with a £2million bid said to have been made earlier in the week.
It remains to be seen whether Trotters boss Owen Coyle will be persuaded to let the former Lyn Oslo stopper leave the club on a permanent basis.
